Position Summary
Kentland Bank is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Full-Time Bilingual Relationship Banker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous banking experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
This position will primarily be assigned to Rensselaer approximately 2–3 days per week. The remaining days and branch assignments will be based on staffing and coverage needs. The ability and willingness to travel between Kentland Bank branch locations is an essential requirement of this position.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional, and accurate service to customers.
- Process deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, account payments, and other teller transactions.
- Maintain accurate cash balances and follow established cash-handling procedures.
- Assist customers with questions and direct them to the appropriate banking services when needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and bank information.
- Follow all bank policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Assist other branch locations when coverage is needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Support the overall goals and customer service standards of Kentland Bank.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Previous banking experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel to other Kentland Bank branch locations as needed.
- Reliable transportation is required.
Preferred:
- Previous cash-handling experience.
- Previous teller experience.
- Experience working in a financial institution or customer-service environment.
Schedule & Travel Requirements
This is a Monday–Friday, full-time position. The employee will generally be scheduled at their primary branch 2–3 days per week, with the remaining schedule determined by branch coverage and staffing needs.
The position requires flexibility to work at other Kentland Bank branch locations when needed. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between branches are required.
